Community Animation in The Rusty Roxy
The Rusty Roxy is a beautiful pop-up cinema created and built by Hannah Fox.
At Make My Day! 2017 the mini cinema screened paper cut animations made in community workshops facilitated by Hannah in the run-up to the main event.
Hannah’s simple and accessible animation technique combines traditional paper cutting with digital recording and editing to create whimsical and magical mini films.
“My son made one of the short films for pop up cinema and was extremely happy to see it and to know so many people watched it!”
“I did an animation workshop with Hannah Fox … she compiled all the small films together and showed them. It was great to see my work on public display, Hannah did a fabulous job at the workshops and making the finished film. Inspiring people everywhere you looked.”
