Two large-scale murals designed and painted for a children’s play area in Morecambe. The artworks were commissioned by Lancaster City Council as part of their sea defence wall development.

The painting is based on a beautiful, evocative quote from local fisher woman, Margaret Owen. Margaret recorded an interview for Morecambe Bay Partnership’s Catching Tales oral history project. I listened to her wonderful stories of fishing life while researching for my series of After the Ebb newspapers.
