Winged Tales of the North
Winged Tales of the North is a beautiful, playful and intriguing street art trail that brings the magical words of acclaimed children’s author David Almond to life along the river banks and industrial walls of the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle.
I loved every minute of working on this commission. It was truly wonderful project that enabled me to bring a brilliant team of artists together to deliver a high profile, high impact set of public artworks – visualising David Almond’s beautiful, quietly powerful words into the landscape.
“What an achievement to pull together so much great work in such a short time. I love it all and I’m sure it will delight and intrigue thousands of people this summer. I’m sure David will be delighted too. Great job all round- thank you so much.”
